Ijen Geopark

Ijen Geopark is officially a global geopark by UNESCO. The Ijen Geopark area has many very beautiful natural views. This photography trip includes sunrise at Wurung Crater, waterfall, and sunset at Ijen Crater. Ijenseries prepares all your needs and prioritizes safety and comfort during travel. The trip will be led by experienced photographers Eko Sumartopo and Arief Siswandhono.
the Journey
The participants meet in the Surabaya Airport and directly heading to Banyuwangi (Jiwa Jawa Hotel) near Ijen Volcanoe. Early in the morning about 04.00 AM, go to Kawah Wurung as magical sunrise point. Drone is recommended for amazing shots. The participants then go to the waterfall in the same way to the hotel for breakfast. After lunchtime the participants heading to the Ijen Hiking starting point . Shot the Ijen crater sunset, and if the situation of sulphuric conducive, the participants may go down to the crater for blue fire shot. The participants heading to De Djawatan jungle for conceptual and fun shots before go to the airport.
What to Bring
Gear:
– Camera with tripod
– A wide angle lens. For example, Nikkor 14-24 or Canon 17-40. Best lens for use in wide-angle scenes or architecture photography
– A middle-zoom lens such as a 24-70 mm
– A telephoto zoom lens, such as a 70-200 mm
-Drone
Wear:
– Warm jacket (for 5 C in the morning and evening)
– Casual clothes for dinners and lunches and photography trip
Difficulties
The general trips will be moderate, unless sunset at Ijen Crater that have to be hike around 2-3 hours.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
We strongly recommend you to get a Trip Cancellation & Travel Insurance after booking your trip. If you cancel and the Workshop is otherwise filled, we will refund you the full amount you have paid towards the tuition, minus a $300 service charge. If you cancel and the Workshop does not fill, then you will be refunded according to the following schedule, based on the full fee of the Trip:
Greater than 90 days from the start date of the Trip:
full refund minus $300 service fee.
75 days or more :75% refund 60 days or more: 50% refund
Less than 60 days: no refund Refunds will be paid by the same method that the original payment was made.
Not included in the price:
– Airfare to Surabaya
– Visas (if applicable)
– Single supplement (250 USD)
– Travel insurance (required) and any covid related testing and expenses.
